If you just want a share anybody can read and write to, just change the permissions. I checked with smbpasswd and the pi Samba user does exist both in Samba and in the Raspbian OS and I even changed the pwd to be sure I am using the correct. The root group has read and entry/execute permissions on the share, the same goes for any other user. The root user has read, write and entry/execute permissions on the share. I bought two Raspberry pi 4's with 4 Gig ram. This shows that the share is owned by the root user and root group. ![]()
